The transition from Summer into Fall has been an odd one this year as the leaves are beautifully scattered on the ground but the days are still quite warm. That hasn’t stopped me from enjoying some awesome Autumnal makeup bits, however, and I wanted to share my holy grail blush for the season.

Blush is an essential in my routine as it brings much-needed life back into my face. Being extremely fair, I prefer to go for more cool-toned shades as they compliment my undertone more and this shade instantly caught my eye when perusing the displays in Sephora. This blush ticked all of the boxes for me: a cool-toned berry with a buildable finish. NARS is a brand that consistently delivers products that I enjoy so it was a no-brainer to place it in my cart. Stand aside pink blushes, there’s a new girl in town!

There is so much that I love about the NARS blush in Sin. I love that it isn’t one dimensional even though it looks so in the pan at first glance. The hint of golden shimmer within keeps it from looking flat on the skin and adds a bit of something special to the shade. A light hand will give you a pretty flush but even when going heavy-handed it still doesn’t look like you are overdone. I was a bit worried that it may be a bit too harsh or dark on my porcelain skin, but there was no need to worry as it doesn’t look the slightest bit muddy on the skin. Sin is a great alternative to what I typically wear and even though it’s an easy colour to overlook in between all the brighter shades in a display, you really should give it a chance.

What are your favourite blush shades to wear in Autumn?

Is there a particular brand that you gravitate towards? Let me know in the comments!

  • I love that colour! I always tend to go for shades that aren’t a regular pink. I like ones that are a little different. I’ll definitely look out for this one next time at Sephora! I want to swatch it!

  • NARS blushes are some of my favourites, particularly because even when you get a slightly different kind of shade, or one that looks quite deep in the pan, you can always dust it on lightly and it doesn’t look like too much, which is important for me because I’m quite fair. Their formula is great and it never goes on patchy or looking funny so I really love the ones I have in my collection.

  • I loooove Sin, I bought this last year and wore it all through Autumn! It’s so perfect and earthy but warm at the same time. Sin looks beautiful on you.
