The Fall candles have been lit, the comfy sweaters have come out and I have been drinking all the hot drinks. Fall has become my favourite season of the year and I am so happy that it has finally arrived. The days are getting chillier, the days are getting shorter and I love staying in bed just that little bit longer in the mornings snuggling my little one. I know many people are just as excited as I am, so I thought I would share what is on my Fall bucket list this year.
Visit a pumpkin patch
I recently visited a farm a few weeks ago with the intent on picking some apples and a few pumpkins, but sadly their orchards were closed and they didn’t have a pumpkin patch – huge bummer! I did, however, pick some beautiful Fall dahlias which you can see on my Instagram. I haven’t picked my own pumpkin from a patch in years and thought it would be special to do so since it is my son’s first Autumn/Halloween this year. I also want to try out some awesome pumpkin DIY’s this year so I am looking forward to this very much!
Go to a local gift show
Going to local craft and gift shows is something that I have done for as long as I can remember. I know Fall has finally arrived when gift show season starts kicking off, and I can remember getting up on chilly mornings and heading out with my mum to see what amazing handmade products vendors have to offer. You get to walk around with a warm drink, sample delicious treats and pick up one-of-a-kind items for your home or as gifts. Last year I bought some amazing pieces of my Winter decor from gift shows and I am looking forward to doing the same this year for Fall!
Find the perfect flannel
For years I have been trying to find the flannel of my dreams. Plaid pieces are so resemblant of Fall and I am looking for that perfect cozy piece to add to my collection. If I find it, you know there will be a whole blog post dedicated to it because most just don’t make the cut. I want it to be warm, comfortable but not too boxy. That shouldn’t be too hard, right?
Have a Fall family photo shoot
I cannot wait for the leaves to really start changing their colours so that I can take some beautiful Fall themed family photos. I mentioned earlier that this is my son’s first Autumn season, so I am looking forward to getting some really beautiful shots of our family. We found a beautiful location not far from us that we think will be the perfect spot. Now we wait!
Decorate for Fall
I mentioned on Twitter that I have been obsessed with pinning interiors on Pinterest recently, and I have had so much fun perusing Fall themed photos! I have loved all of the beautifully themed vignettes, and the seasonal decor so I have quite a few ideas to make our home just that little bit cozier!
